About us

South West Community Chaplaincy (SWCC) is a team of professionals and trained volunteer mentors who work with adults of all ages in prisons across the South West of England. We’re there for people in the run up to their release from prison, supporting them to make a positive plan for their future. When they leave prison, we work with them to rebuild their lives in the community.

We bring tailored support, through our partnerships with different organisations, helping people to find work and build new relationships. Our aim is to show people who have received or served a sentence that a different life is possible – then we empower them to achieve it.

While we are a faith organisation, we work with people of all faiths or none. We bring a committed and non-judgemental approach, and hope for each person’s future.
